Watches

Hi, I'm an amateur watchmaker, I'm offering my skills to repair and service Smiths 19PY and Seiko 7548 watches and their families of movements. I'm an ex-government scientist and ex-IT professional but I suffer depression and only work 2-3 days a week professionally now, leaving plenty of time for tinkering with watches. I find watchmaking to be very theapeudic and has become a huge passion of mine (I have a collection of hundreds of watches now). And yes I know this site is pretty rough but it will do.

I have been repairing and servicing watches for over a decade now. I was originally self taught/books/tips from other watchmakers but now with all the YouTube tutorials available these days (which are both good and bad), I have vastly increased my skills over the last couple of years, I can now safely offer a professional service. I specialize in Smiths (also sold under Ingersoll, Endura and others) 19PY's and Seiko 7548 (and 7546) movements as I have extensive knowledge and parts for these. I intend or expanding my list but these I am very good at and know I won't do more damage than good with these. The reason I service/repair these is because no one else will touch them.

I only charge $50 plus parts and postage and handling $15, although I suggest new quality seals for the 7548's ($50). I can't guarantee all watches are repairable or how long they will last after but I've never not got one of these family of watches going and I'll give them a go and my prices are very affordable. These watches generally have personal significance for the owner and I hate to see them going to waste.

I'm also very approachable and can offer help to those looking to get into the hobby or need help with these.

I can also be contracted to do mods on Seikos like SKX's. Or complete custom builds.
