The Smiths 19PY watches were made in Great Britain from the late 1940's to 1980 and sold under many names. Most common were Smiths, Ingersoll and Endura (for the US market). They come in sub seconds and center seconds configuration. To be sure they are a 19PY open the back and they should look like this:
They have some peculiarities that need knowledge, skill and specific tools. A friend of mine is a guru on these from the UK and has helped me along the way to understand these movements. I'm now very competent with these and have lots of parts. These were never flash movements and out of the factory their tolerances were +-120s/day, I can usually get them within these specifications.
